Dalton Grein

Dalton brings a deep playing and coaching pedigree to the Venom. A two-time All-State selection at The McCallie School, he went on to play at Hampden-Sydney College, reaching the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2003. His coaching career spans the collegiate and high school ranks including assistant roles at High Point University and High Point Central HS, and five seasons leading Boulder Valley Lacrosse from 2020 to 2025.

For Dalton, coaching is about passing forward what his own coaches gave him: accountability, composure under pressure, and what it means to be a good teammate. He’s focused on building confidence and discipline in young athletes and creating an environment where players are challenged, supported, and held to a high standard. Off the field, he’s an avid fly fisherman and mountaineer, pursuing Colorado’s 14ers and other high-altitude peaks.
