Derek Rollings

Now in his second season on the sideline, Derek is proof that great coaching is about leadership as much as playing experience. He grew up a multi-sport athlete in baseball, basketball, golf, and soccer – though, as he’ll happily admit, he never played lacrosse. By day he leads a high-performing sales team, and he draws on that leadership background, along with plenty of motivation from being a dad.

Derek stepped into coaching to be more involved in his son’s passion, recognizing that the time spent together in huddles and on the sidelines is something he’ll always treasure. Rather than watch from the stands, he chose to step up and coach which became one of the most rewarding parts of his week. Outside of lacrosse, Derek is a competitive endurance athlete who races gravel and mountain bikes throughout the year.
